Non-profit Training

Several years ago, our Community Foundation launched its N*STAR program (Nonprofit Support, Training and Resources). The program provides free brown bag seminars on topics of nonprofit management and governance, and also half-day and full-day workshops. The office maintains a lending library of materials on topics of interest. Staff are available to meet with a board member or executive director regarding a special need a non-profit organization might have, such as starting a new 501c3 corporation, a funding crisis, leadership transition, or complex collaboration.

This initiative is generously supported by a gift from
the Bacon Family Foundation.

Combined N*STAR and Community Training Schedule through December, 2011
This schedule includes Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable (CPGR) Outreach Webinars, Mesa County Fundraisers Network Meetings, Mesa County Public Library District/Foundation Center Series, Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Webinars, and other training and networking opportunities. Events listed are at no cost to participants unless otherwise noted. To be added to an email distribution list of trainings, or to add a training event, please email crhodes@wc-cf.org.
