The Western Colorado Community Foundation works closely with individuals, families and organizations to create charitable legacies to benefit our residents and improve the quality of life here in western Colorado. Our organization primarily serves Mesa, Garfield, Eagle, Rio Blanco, Delta, Montrose and Ouray counties.
Donor Funds We manage millions of dollars and more than 200 donor funds. Our donors come from many backgrounds and have their own charitable interests but share a common commitment to the community they call home. Each fund is separately accounted for, and has its own name and purposes as determined by the donor who established the fund. All legal, tax and administrative requirements are handled by our Community Foundation and comply with IRS regulations and national standards for our field. Make a Difference Establishing a legacy fund is quick and easy. Make a difference and help your community! (8 minutes) ![]() Grand Junction Downtown Rotary Club Establishes New Endowment The Grand Junction Downtown Rotary Club recently announced the establishment of a $100,000 endowment with our Community Foundation. "The impetus for establishing this endowment is to ensure that our Club is able to serve the community in perpetuity," noted Robert Johnson, incoming Rotary Club President. "We have a lot of Club members who may want to make a legacy gift and continue their support and involvement for future generations. Our new endowment provides the vehicle for this kind of legacy giving by our members." We are very pleased to be working with the Grand Junction Rotary and several other service clubs as their trusted endowment partner. By definition, local service clubs like Rotary and Kiwanis attract community-minded people into their membership. Service club people are very dedicated and committed to their communities. These are the people who might be most interested in leaving a legacy gift through their will or estate plan to continue supporting something they were actively involved in during their lifetime.
